A major new restaurant which showcases the best of Welsh produce has opened at Oakwood Theme Park.
The Oak Tree Restaurant Bar & Grill, which features real oak wood extensively throughout, includes waitress service and aims to provide visitors with a stylish and themed experience at the heart of the park.
As part of the new restaurant Oakwood has teamed up with Llanelli-based Castell Howell Foods Ltd, one of the country’s leading independent food wholesalers, to supply a range of products including local pies and pork and leek sausages from Celtic Pride.
Castell Howard Sales Director, Kathryn Jones, said: “Castell Howell are proud to supply Oakwood and are excited that such an establishment is supporting not only a Welsh company, but sourcing as many locally produced food products as possible.”
Brains Brewery are providing a selection of bottled beers and ales and Narberth-based Princes Gate Spring Water will also be on sale.
Oakwood Theme Park Director, Dominic Jones, said: “We wanted to provide our visitors with the very best of Welsh produce which has been locally-sourced wherever possible.
“We’re very lucky to be in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK and surrounded by a huge variety of amazing and high quality products – we want the Oak Tree to highlight and showcase the very best of Wales,” he added.
Set in 90 acres of spectacular Pembrokeshire countryside, Oakwood is one of the UK’s leading theme parks with more than 30 exhilarating attractions; including four world class rides to enjoy.
‘Neverland’ is the park’s huge new £4.5m Peter Pan-themed area, which spreads across more than three acres and features 10 new family rides and attractions.
