Thinking of paying us a visit during your next trip to South Wales? Find out why Oakwood Theme Park is the ultimate day out for families, couples and thrill-seekers alike.
Welcome to Oakwood, Wales’ biggest and best family theme park. For over 30 years, we’ve brought fun and thrills to the heart of Pembrokeshire and mean it when we say our beloved park has something for everyone.
White-knuckle action? You bet. Rides for the little ones? Of course. Food and drink vendors are never out of reach either, and we even have free kennels where your four-legged friends can relax for the day. Talk about covering all bases.
Need a little more convincing? No worries. This page should fill you in on exactly why Oakwood is worth a spot on your holiday itinerary – whether you’re travelling as a two, a four or a whole group.
It should come as no surprise that Oakwood Theme Park is a mecca for younger visitors. With child-friendly rides dotted across the park and the presence of Fun Central, our game-laden arcade, those just scraping double figures will find plenty to keep them occupied during their visit.
Of course, we get that visiting a theme park with kids is more than just fun and games – at least for those tasked with taking care of them. That’s why you’ll find plenty of food outlets, shops and sweet treat vendors throughout our park, so you can keep youngsters content during your day with us.
Nothing beats a family day out, and in our book, a trip to Oakwood is family time well spent. We’ve tons of attractions for adventurous, thrill-seeking groups, including thrill rides for teens and teacups for toddlers. Even grandparents will find something to keep them occupied while their offspring buckle up – from The Sights of London to Tink’s Flying School.
Hearing calls of “I’m hungry”? Don’t sweat. There are lots of places to feed the family at Oakwood, from Woody’s Burger Bar to Little Darlings Cafe. Our vendors are placed conveniently around the park, so there’s always somewhere for the grown-ups to grab some downtime.
Did we mention that Oakwood Theme Park also plays host to a packed calendar of special events? Perfect for older visitors, these one-off occasions take place after dark, with DJs, fireworks and entertainment, promising a fun-filled evening. Take a look at our events page to find out what’s coming up.
If you’re expecting and have a little one on the way, you will still need to pay entry to Oakwood, as we are a pay to enter park. This means even if you are pregnant, you are required to have a valid ticket. But don’t worry; there’s still so much for you to enjoy, even if you can’t go on the rides themselves!
From work trips to 30th birthday celebrations – you don’t need children in tow to enjoy a memorable day at Oakwood. Adults will find lots to like around the park, from white-knuckle thrill rides like Bounce, Speed and Dizzy Disk.
Here at Oakwood we also put on exciting themed events that are great for adults, such as Oktoberfest and Spooktacular, perfect for a unique date with your other half or even a group day out!
Teenagers tired of following mum and dad around are welcome to explore Oakwood Theme Park at their leisure (provided they’re 13 or older, that is). There are plenty of ways to impress your pals around our park – whether that’s buckling up for Waterfall, strapping into Vertigo (additional charge applies) or taking part in our live-action Witch Hunt (available on selected dates only).
As with older visitors, our after-dark events are super popular with those 13-19, so don’t forget to check out our upcoming calendar. Plus, we’ve fast food options aplenty, including pizza, nachos and classic fairground nosh, so teens can tuck in to their heart’s content.
Although it might seem like your toddler doesn’t know what’s going on half the time, in our experience, little’uns sure know how to have fun. That’s why we’ve packed our park with a handful of toddler-friendly attractions, from Neverland Chase to the much-loved Crocodile Coaster.
And to make sure our preschool visitors have plenty to do, you’ll find a whole host of toddler-friendly rides and attractions in Neverland, an enchanting place inspired by Peter Pan. Plus, nearby picnic areas provide an accessible space where you can take some much-needed time out after all that excitement.
Are you a teacher looking to score brownie points with your students? Taking them on a trip to Oakwood Theme Park is certain to earn you some gold stars. We welcome organised groups from schools, colleges and similar organisations, with special packages available and discounts for travelling teachers and support staff.
Of course, organising a school trip to somewhere as exciting as a theme park can be stressful, which is why our specialists are here to help every step of the way. We’ll even throw in free coach parking, while our expansive picnic areas serve as the perfect rendezvous point during the day. Learn more about our school trips and group bookings here.
Pembrokeshire is a super popular destination for families and their four-legged friends, but unfortunately, dogs aren’t permitted at Oakwood (except for guide dogs). That doesn’t mean you have to leave them behind to visit us, though, with our free boarding kennels providing a safe, comfortable place to leave your dog for the day.
Boarding kennels at Oakwood Theme Park are available on a first come, first served basis, so please contact our team ahead of your visit to book your pooch in. You’re free to check in on your dog as many times as you like during the day, though we would recommend bringing their favourite bed, blanket and bowl along to help them settle in. Please refer to our FAQ guides for more information on bringing a dog to Oakwood Theme Park.
