THEME PARK SPONSORS SANTA CLAUS SUITS FOR FUN RUN
Oakwood Theme Park is once again providing hundreds of Santa Claus suits for the annual Tenby Santa Run which takes place on Sunday, December 13th.
This is the third year the Narberth attraction has co-sponsored the charity run alongside Sign Speed and they are hoping it will be the most successful ever.
Oakwood Theme Park’s Clare Stansfield said: “We’re very pleased to be supporting this event again this year. It is growing in popularity every year and it’s quite a site to see hundreds of Santas pounding the streets of Tenby to raise money for charity,” she added.
The run will be approximately three kilometres around the streets of Tenby with each entrant receiving a Santa Claus suit to run in. It’s the sixth time the event has been organised by Tenby Ladies Circle and they are hoping to attract up to 200 competitors.
Event co-organiser Kath Morgan said: “We are hoping that people will once again come along and support us.
“You don’t have to be a runner, the course is around the town and can be walked in very little time, we provide all entrants with the Santa suits.
“It’s all about having fun at Christmas, and if we can raise money for local causes at the same time then it is definitely worth it.
“This year we are supporting Tenby Playgroup. Many of us, as well as our children have attended Tenby Playgroup, whom are struggling for funding at this moment. It has been running now for over 40 years and it would be a shame for it to have to close,” she added.
